Frequently asked questions
The questions our patients actually ask, in roughly the order they ask them. If yours is not here, email support@raeliva.com and a person will answer.
Pricing & Plans
How much does treatment cost?
Weight loss: compounded semaglutide starts at $150/month on the 6-month plan ($219 month to month), and compounded tirzepatide starts at $242/month ($299 month to month). The oral dissolving tablet versions start at $167 and $267/month. Longevity: NAD+ and Sermorelin start at $117/month on the 12-month plan ($179 month to month), and Glutathione is $189/month. Every price includes your medication, provider review, refill coordination, shipping, and ongoing support.
Are the multi-month plans billed monthly or upfront?
Upfront, as a single charge. The monthly figure we show for a multi-month plan is the effective rate — what the total works out to per month — not a monthly payment. For example, the semaglutide injection 6-month plan is $900 billed once, which is $150 a month. If you would rather pay month to month, the monthly plan is available at a slightly higher rate.
Does the price include the provider visit, or are there extra fees?
It is included. One price covers your provider consultation and prescription, the medication itself, refill coordination, shipping, and ongoing access to the clinical team. There is no separate membership or subscription fee, and your price does not increase solely because your prescribed dose changes. Lab work, when a provider requires it, may be billed separately — you will be told before anything is ordered.
Do you take insurance, FSA, or HSA?
We do not bill insurance — pricing is direct-pay, which is how we can quote one clear number. FSA and HSA eligibility depends on your specific plan and the purpose of treatment, so check with your plan administrator. If you need an itemized receipt to submit for reimbursement, email support@raeliva.com and we will send one.
Does my price go up after my first order?
No. The price you start on is the price you keep — it does not rise after your first bundle, after a promotional period, or because your prescribed dose increases. The one thing that does not carry forward is a promo code: those are valid for a single use, so if your first order used one, later orders bill at your plan’s standard rate.
Can I start monthly and switch to a longer plan later?
Yes, and you can do it at any time. Plenty of people start month to month to make sure the medication agrees with them, then move to a longer plan for the better rate once they know it does. Message your care team or request the change in your patient portal at care.raeliva.com/login. Switching to a longer plan lowers your effective monthly cost; the longer plan is billed upfront.
Do you offer monthly payment options?
Yes. Every program has a month-to-month plan alongside the 3- and 6-month plans. Monthly costs more per month; the longer plans cost less per month but are billed upfront.
How It Works
How does the process work?
Four steps. First, you complete an online health assessment about your history and goals. Second, a licensed provider reviews it and may contact you by text or email if they need more information. Third, if treatment is appropriate, your prescription goes to a licensed compounding pharmacy in our network. Fourth, your medication ships to your door. If the provider decides treatment is not right for you, there is nothing to pay.
I submitted my assessment and payment. What happens next?
Your assessment goes into the provider review queue, and you will hear from the provider team by text or email — sometimes with follow-up questions before they can prescribe. If you have not heard anything and want a status check, email support@raeliva.com and we will find out where your review stands.
Why am I being asked to text a photo of my ID?
Identity verification is a legitimate and required part of telehealth prescribing — a provider has to confirm who they are prescribing to. It is a normal step, not a scam. What is never normal: we will never ask you for payment information, card numbers, or your password by text. If you get a message asking for any of those, do not reply, and forward it to support@raeliva.com.
Is a doctor actually involved? Who oversees my treatment?
Yes. Medical services are provided by Lion MDs, an independent medical practice with clinicians licensed in all 50 states. A licensed provider reviews every assessment, writes every prescription, and oversees your treatment, and you can message the clinical team with medical questions at any point. Raeliva itself is the telehealth platform — it does not prescribe or dispense.
Can I talk to someone before I sign up?
Yes. Email support@raeliva.com with your questions before starting an assessment. We can answer questions about programs, pricing, and how the process works. Questions that need a clinical answer — whether a specific medication is right for you, or what dose you would be on — are for a licensed provider after they have reviewed your health history.
Cancellations & Refunds
How do I cancel?
Two ways, both of which work: email support@raeliva.com, or message your care team directly by text or email. You will get written confirmation, and no further charges occur once your cancellation is confirmed. There are no long-term contracts and no cancellation fee. If you have emailed and not heard back, email again and say it is a second request — we would rather field a duplicate than leave a cancellation sitting.
I just signed up and changed my mind. Can I cancel before anything ships?
Yes. If you cancel before your order has been processed or shipped, you are eligible for a full refund. Contact support@raeliva.com as soon as possible — the sooner the request lands, the more likely it is to reach us before the pharmacy prepares your medication. You can also ask us to have your stored payment details deleted.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds are issued when an order was cancelled before it was processed or shipped, when there was a duplicate charge, when an order was not received because of a verified shipping or pharmacy error, or when the provider determined treatment could not proceed after your consultation. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method within 5–10 business days. Because prescription medications cannot be returned once dispensed, refunds are not available for medication already shipped, for completed consultations, or where treatment was stopped after shipment. The full policy is on our Refund & Return Policy page.
How do I remove my credit card from my account?
Email support@raeliva.com and ask us to delete your stored payment details. Your card details sit with CareValidate and its payment processor rather than with us, so we route the request there and confirm in writing once it is done. You can also ask your care team directly.
Refills, Renewals & Reorders
How do I refill or reorder?
Two routes. Toward the end of your plan you are sent a check-in form: you tell us how treatment has been going, a provider reviews your answers and decides your next dose, and your refill is issued from there. You can also log in to your patient portal at care.raeliva.com/login and request a refill directly. Either way a provider reviews it before anything is dispensed — a refill is a fresh clinical decision, not an automatic repeat.
Can I change my dose when I renew?
Yes, and the renewal is designed for exactly that. The check-in form is where you raise how the current dose has been working, and the reviewing provider decides your next dose from your answers. Your monthly price does not change because your dose does.
When does the rest of my multi-month plan ship?
A 3- or 6-month plan ships in two shipments rather than all at once, because of medication shelf life. The second is sent toward the end of the first period, and you do not need to do anything to trigger it. If you are approaching the end of your first stretch and nothing has arrived, email support@raeliva.com.
Shipping & Order Status
How long does shipping take?
Orders typically arrive within 3–5 days of your provider approving the prescription, and you will get tracking from the pharmacy. The clock starts at provider approval, not at checkout, because the prescription has to be reviewed and written before anything can be prepared. If your tracking has not moved or you are past that window, email support@raeliva.com and we will chase the pharmacy.
I paid for six months. Why did I only receive three?
That is how the plan is designed, and it is about medication shelf life rather than a partial order. A 6-month plan ships in two shipments: the first covers your first three months, and the second is sent toward the end of that period so your medication is not sitting past its beyond-use date. You do not need to do anything to trigger it. If the second shipment has not arrived as you approach the end of your first three months, email support@raeliva.com.
How is it packaged? Is it discreet?
Medication ships in discreet packaging directly from the licensed pharmacy that prepared it, with no indication of the contents on the outside. Injections ship refrigerated, in insulated packaging with cold packs, and need to go in the fridge when they arrive. Oral dissolving tablets are shipped sealed and store at room temperature.
Can I change my shipping address?
Yes, as long as the change reaches us before your next shipment is prepared. Message your care team or email support@raeliva.com with the new address. Do not wait until a shipment is in transit — once the pharmacy has dispatched it, the address cannot be changed.
Which states do you ship to? Do you ship internationally?
We ship to all 50 states. Providers in our network are licensed in every US state, so where you live does not limit whether you can be seen — eligibility is a clinical decision made by the provider who reviews your health history. We do not ship outside the United States, including to the UK and Canada.
Your Account
Is there somewhere I can log in to my account?
Yes — your patient portal is at care.raeliva.com/login. You can use it to see your plan, check on your order, and message your care team. If you would rather not use the portal, you can do all of it by email with support@raeliva.com instead.
I cannot access my account or need to reset my password.
Use the password reset link on care.raeliva.com/login. If the reset email does not arrive, check your spam folder first, then email support@raeliva.com from the address you signed up with and we will help you get back in.
The Medication & Our Pharmacies
Where does my medication come from?
Your prescription is filled by an independently licensed pharmacy in our network — Casa, Polomar, PerfectRx, or Evoluciona — and ships directly from that pharmacy to you. Each operates under its own state licensure and fills your prescription against an order from your licensed provider. Compounded preparations are made by an appropriately licensed pharmacy or outsourcing facility. Raeliva is not a pharmacy and does not prepare or dispense medication.
What does compounded mean, and is it FDA-approved?
Compounded means the medication is prepared for an individual patient by a licensed pharmacy, based on a prescription from a licensed provider. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved and are not the same as brand-name products. The FDA does not review or approve compounded medications for safety, effectiveness, or quality before they are dispensed. Every medication in a Raeliva program is compounded, and we label it that way so you always know what you are receiving.
Do you offer tirzepatide? What about oral versions?
Yes to both. We offer compounded semaglutide and compounded tirzepatide, each as a once-weekly injection or as an oral dissolving tablet taken daily. The tablets dissolve under the tongue, need no needles, and store at room temperature — they cost more per month than the injections, and your provider helps you decide which form suits you.
How do I store my medication?
It depends on the form. Injections are refrigerated: store at 36–46°F (2–8°C) in the original carton, keep them cold between doses, and do not freeze them. Oral dissolving tablets store at room temperature, 68–77°F (20–25°C), in their original container with the lid closed and away from moisture — handle them with dry hands. Specific instructions come with your shipment; follow those, and ask your care team if anything is unclear.
Switching From Another Provider
I am already on semaglutide or tirzepatide with another provider. Can I switch?
Yes, and this is common. Complete our assessment and be specific about your current medication, your current dose, and how long you have been on it. A licensed provider reviews that history as part of deciding what to prescribe — bring your most recent dose information and, if you have it, documentation from your current provider, because the more your provider knows the better they can plan your dose.
I am on brand-name Wegovy or Zepbound. Can I switch to a compounded version?
Many people do, usually for cost. Note the brand-name medication and dose you are on in your assessment so the provider can factor it in. Two things worth being clear about: compounded medications are not FDA-approved and are not the same product as the brand-name version you have been taking, and what you are prescribed is the provider’s clinical decision, not a like-for-like swap you can select.
Dosing
What dose will I start on?
Your provider decides, based on your health history and, if you are transferring, your current dose. New patients generally start low and step up gradually over the first weeks — that titration is deliberate, partly to keep side effects manageable. Your price does not increase solely because your dose changes.
How much do I draw into the syringe?
Follow the dosing instructions that come with your shipment, which are specific to the concentration you were prescribed. Do not calculate it yourself from something you read elsewhere, and do not guess — concentrations differ between pharmacies and between prescriptions. If your instructions are missing or unclear, message your care team before you inject.
Side Effects & Medical Questions
I am feeling nauseous. Is that normal?
Nausea is the most commonly reported side effect of GLP-1 medications, and it is usually most noticeable in the first few weeks and after a dose increase. For many people it eases as the body adjusts. Message your care team if it is not settling — they can adjust your plan. Seek medical care right away for severe or persistent vomiting, severe abdominal pain, signs of an allergic reaction, or vision changes. If you think you are having a medical emergency, call 911.
I have been on it for weeks and have not lost weight. What should I do?
Message your care team rather than waiting it out. The early weeks are largely about titration — reaching a dose that works for you — so limited change early on is not unusual, and dose adjustments are common. Results vary between people, and some people respond less than others; your provider can look at the whole picture, including anything else affecting your progress, and tell you honestly what to expect.
Still need a hand?
Email support@raeliva.com for anything about your plan, your order, or a cancellation. For medical questions — dosing, side effects, whether treatment is right for you — message your care team, who can see your history. If you think you are having a medical emergency, call 911.
