Every GLP-1 medication in a Raeliva program is compounded, and we label it that way, so you always know exactly what you are getting. A licensed provider reviews your health history to decide whether a compounded GLP-1 is appropriate for you.
Tirzepatide vs. semaglutide: what is the difference?
The main difference is how they work. Semaglutide acts on one appetite-regulating pathway, the GLP-1 receptor. Tirzepatide acts on two, GLP-1 and GIP. Both are taken as a once-weekly injection, and both may support appetite control and weight loss as part of a provider-guided program. Semaglutide may be a lower-cost starting point depending on the formulation, program, and prescription pathway. Some people respond better to one than the other, which is why a licensed provider reviews your health history and goals before recommending either.
What about oral GLP-1?

Raeliva is a cash-pay service, which is what keeps the pricing flat and transparent. Insurance plans generally do not cover compounded medications, and every GLP-1 medication in a Raeliva program is compounded. If an insurance-covered brand-name product is what you want, that is a separate path through a provider who prescribes it. We can send you an itemized receipt to submit for reimbursement, though whether your plan accepts it is your plan administrator’s decision.
How much does it cost?
One clear monthly price includes medication, provider review, refill coordination, and ongoing support. Your price does not increase solely because your prescribed dose changes. What happens if I stop taking it?
Appetite may increase again when the medication stops, and research shows weight regain is common without ongoing treatment and lasting habit changes. We tell you that up front because it is true. It is also why Raeliva's plans include ongoing check-ins and education rather than just a prescription, and why we frame these medications as a tool within a broader effort, not a cure. If you are considering stopping, talk with your provider first about how to do it thoughtfully.
I am already on semaglutide or tirzepatide with another provider. Can I switch to Raeliva?
Yes, and it is one of the most common ways people start with us. Complete the assessment and be specific about your current medication, your current dose, and how long you have been on it — a licensed provider reviews that history as part of deciding what to prescribe. Bring your most recent dose information and any documentation from your current provider if you have it. What you are prescribed is the provider’s clinical decision rather than something you select, so do not stop or change your current medication before you have heard from them.
I am on brand-name Wegovy or Zepbound. Can I switch to a compounded version?
Many people do, usually because of cost. Note the brand-name medication and dose you are on in your assessment so the provider can take it into account. Be clear on what is changing though: compounded medications are not FDA-approved and are not the same product as the brand-name version, even where the active ingredient is the same. Your provider will tell you what they consider appropriate for you.
Are the multi-month plans billed monthly or upfront?
Upfront, as a single charge. The monthly figure we show for a multi-month plan is the effective rate — what the total works out to per month — not a monthly payment. For example, the semaglutide injection 6-month plan is $900 billed once, which is $150 a month. If you would rather pay month to month, the monthly plan is available at a slightly higher rate.
Does my price go up after my first order?
No. The price you start on is the price you keep — it does not rise after your first bundle, after a promotional period, or because your prescribed dose increases. The one thing that does not carry forward is a promo code: those are valid for a single use, so if your first order used one, later orders bill at your plan’s standard rate.
Can I start monthly and switch to a longer plan later?
Yes, and you can do it at any time. Plenty of people start month to month to make sure the medication agrees with them, then move to a longer plan for the better rate once they know it does. Message your care team or request the change in your patient portal at care.raeliva.com/login. Switching to a longer plan lowers your effective monthly cost; the longer plan is billed upfront.
How do I cancel?
Two ways, both of which work: email support@raeliva.com, or message your care team directly by text or email. You will get written confirmation, and no further charges occur once your cancellation is confirmed. There are no long-term contracts and no cancellation fee. If you have emailed and not heard back, email again and say it is a second request — we would rather field a duplicate than leave a cancellation sitting.
